  Super impressive on a technical level. Explosive performances (where did they find Owen Cooper?). An intelligent script that actually *gets* teens, social media, cycles of abuse, and the aftermath of a murder indictment.

  Would have been a 5/5 if it wasn't for the final 2 episodes, that had so much potential but flunked the script and pacing.

  A Silent Voice: The Movie 2016

  This is a beautiful film that knows how to draw emotions from you, but by the end I wasn't left with anything concrete. It's very focused but also very big-picture. Very slow but has a lot of plot beats.

  You should absolutely give it a try, but it operates on vibes, and sits firmly at the "slice of life" end of dramas. Do with that what you will.

  לא יודע איך הגעתי לפה (כנראה כי חברים שלי מקושרים לפה? היי רועי שתיים) אבל מסתבר שאני צריך לכתוב ביקורת אם אני רוצה לתת לסרט הזה תגית אז יאללה. נתחיל מהסוף - סה"כ נהנתי. אם לא היה נכתב שזה סרט של מגמת קולנוע תיכון הייתי חושב שאיזה יוצרת אינדי עשתה פרוף-אוף-קונספט.

  נתחיל דבר ראשון בזה שהסרט פותר את הבעיה הכי גדולה שלי עם סרטים מינימליסטים כאלה: שוטים סטטים ארוכים. אני סאקר של לונג-שוטים דינמיים, וכן, יש קצת פאקים בצילום, אבל…

  תראו. כסרט שוד הוא לא עובד. כסרט התבגרות הוא לא עובד. כדרמה על זקנה הוא לא עובד. כסאטירה חברתית הוא ממש לא עובד, ומרוב שהוא מנסה לג'נגל כל כך הרבה דברים אפילו כסרט הוא לא הכי עובד. הוא בלאגן אחד גדול, מיני באופן סופר קרינג'י ויש בו חורי עלילה ותוכנית מפה עד לונדון.
  אבל...
  איכשהו אני מתקשה לשנוא את הסרט הזה. השחקנים ה"זקנים" גונבים ת'הצגה ורואים שכולם, בעיקר סטוארט, ממש פאקינג נהנים. זה יוצא מהמסך ומציל את הסרט. לג'יט צחקתי…
