Normal People 2020
Cried three times. The most honest depiction of a coming of age love story I have ever seen. Whatever shortcomings the story might have are made up for and then some by the stellar performances from Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar Jones— their chemistry is truly unparalleled.
Maybe it isn’t without flaw like the rating would suggest but finding this series in my early 20’s and it being so contextually appropriate made it really resonate with me. Very few pieces of film have gotten such a visceral reaction out of me.
