  this was such a cute coming of age film :) I feel like they added enough modern tiktok-brainrot-gen-z-ness for it to be faithful to modern times, yet it still felt genuine and heartfelt like yeah I’ve been a teenage girl and it definitely resonated with that!

  quite captivating and gets you invested. I honestly would have never watched this in a million years judging by the title and poster alone, bc yikes.

  Can’t really blame anyone for this one but myself. 

  Despite being the highest grossing film of South Africa and having decent production, this was very difficult to watch. I remember even as a kid I felt second hand embarrassment for the vulgar and infantile slapstick. 

  I get they were trying to make a silly high budget anti-apartheid lampoon that can be marketed worldwide, but eish. At what cost.
