The most I've grinned while watching a movie in the cinemas since maybe Spider-Verse. This movie wasn't groundbreaking in any sense but it did what it set out to do perfectly and was a great sonic movie, and a fantastic sequel.
I find the style of humour in these films to be so satisfying, the jokes just never seem to miss!

I love how the evil characters were evil, the rude useless ones remained useless and the kind ones stayed kind. Sometimes ya get a little tired of every supporting character rooting for the good guy and I wasn't expecting to find that so refreshing. In particular, that cat villain is one of the scariest characters I've seen in a non-horror movie and I absolutely loved it!
