The Valley of the Bees 1968
I have no idea how this ended in my watchlist but I am in awe of how great this was. This is up there with the greatest looking b&w movies and honestly surpasses a lot of classics that I would get crucified for mentioning.
I also love how it is a very philosphical movie without it being a draining watch. Really really impressed

Cure 1997
I feel like the japanese filmmaking style is just perfect for thrillers. This does have a really similar feel to Memories of murder but Cure is more psychological (although the difference is subtle).
I do wish that the themes developed a bit more throughout the story. The plot is great but after like 20 minutes the main themes of the movie are more or less fully explained. Wish they were slightly less on the nose early on in order to make the ending even more satisfying.

Landscape in the Mist 1988
You are funny kids, you know that? It is as if you do not care about time going by, yet I know you are in a hurry to leave.
No single piece of art has managed to capture the feeling of being completely lost like this did for me. The feeling that you are not getting anywhere, yet still knowing that something is happening.
I found this to be really touching and heartbreaking. The imagery is just so strong that I could probably retell the entire movie scene for scene right now. Not a single shot feels wasted.
I absolutely love this. Go watch it. Masterpiece
