  Always a sucker for Aardman's wackily unique brand of stop-motion storytelling, I decided to give this a rewatch ahead of viewing its sequel.

  The jokes (just as funny as an adult), the sleek animation (I'm in awe), the wonderfully dark overtones, sprinkled with a dusting of nostalgic fun all combine to see a film that holds up just as much now as it did when I was a kid.

  Peter Pan & Wendy 2023

  This remake of one of Disney's most beloved classics falls flat in the areas that matter, somehow managing to suck all the fun and joy out of its source material.

  While I enjoyed the slightly darker tonal shift and the expanded lore of Hook/Pan's relationship (particularly helped by Jude Law's performance), Peter Pan & Wendy is ultimately disappointingly dull and bland through and through.

Following
