At Eternity's Gate 2018
I love how this was shot.
Dafoe does such a beautiful job showing the sort of dread of a misunderstood person who has something special deep down while no one else understands it. Sort of a narcissist in his own world even if others think they’re no good at what they do.
The way this movie was shot and the piano added on was perfect for a movie about art. Almost puts you into a trance.
Dafoe was dominant in this one. Beautiful work. Beautiful directing. Deep and pretty.

Looked to me like a representation of modern day culture and political view. With the idea of the clearly radical politician who’s actually an idiot. With followers who are obsessed with him. And followers who think they’re idiots.
