A satisfyingly brutal and bloody slasher-rom-com hybrid that I wish had fully committed itself towards being a full-on slasher film, because the elements were right there in making this a new-age 'Scream'. The slasher scenes, particularly the opening scene, was brilliant and anxiety-inducing, but the rom-com parts were just too cringe and dragged the overall film down (even if they had heart in them!)

An intriguing and brutal serial killer mystery film that still holds up well for its age. Love the boldness of the ending, even though it was fairly obvious from a mile away. I'm happy that David Fincher and Brad Pitt stuck with it instead of going with a cheesy cop-out. Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt's dynamic is also unusually refreshing, and is a highlight.

I'm not sure why critics are giving this film rave reviews- this film is just your standard Bollywood masala action flick made from the Western perspective. All of the themes being explored in this film (corruption, caste discrimination) is commonly explored in Indian cinema, but when Hollywood makes a movie about it it's apparently the second coming of Jesus 🤦‍♂️

This film presents a very questionable message that women can only escape the clutches of their controlling parent(s) dictating everything for them by getting with much older men & selling themselves. Not a fan.

Also am not a fan of Emma Stone going full r****d (quickly overstays its welcome), as well as Mark Ruffalo and Willem Dafoe having the worst impressions of British accents ever. They were horrible.

Have no idea why critics seem to love this movie, its utter dogshit. Or maybe its because the cynical me was expecting a serious character study instead of a farcical comedy.
