Not to be dramatic…. but I think this is the best thing i’ve ever seen.
My only complaint is that I even waited this long to see it.
Seeing this tonight - 10 years after release - in a theatre packed full of fans who cried, laughed, and applauded together made the experience that much sweeter.
As a lover of film, there’s not a whole lot of positive to say about the technical execution of this title.
However, as a student of philosophy, and specifically political philosophy, this film does many things well. First and foremost, is a relatively well written and accurate depiction of important real life events. Beyond that, it is contains a message that academia sought to silence for nearly 50 years, and therefore has effectively not been told.
