Step Brothers 2008
I think this is the best of the Ferrell/McKay collaborations because despite how wacky and absurd it can be, it never goes fully into the “Will Ferrell yelling loudly and being RaNdOm” shtick that can really get old fast. I forgot how funny Katheryn Hahn is in this. Richard Jenkins is unhinged in the best way. Adam Scott is a perfect douchebag.

Absolutely my shit. 70s cabin fever madness that’s just the right amount of weird. The story isn’t particularly groundbreaking but the execution of everything more than makes up for it. Love that Minnesota winter setting.

Eggers delivers again! He was born to make this movie. Thrusting the character of Ellen into the spotlight from the get go gives us a fresh perspective on the vampire classic.
