  British people are exceptional stage actors and I like that they didn’t hide the fact this is on a stage. There are interesting choices and it is operatic, but I can’t get over what I presume is why the movie is revered: it looks cool and that’s about it. The performances are fine? Seems like a mess of things that would be interesting on stage that didn’t translate to film all that well?
