Sherlock Jr. 1924
Incredible that something can work a crowd as well as this movie does 100 years later. Keaton was completely tapped in on what movie watching does for people and how it influences our perceptions of ourselves. The stunts and visual gags are so impressive that I’m not sure how people didn’t just pack it up back then. The final shot in the projector booth is so endearing that it’s a bit hard not to get emotional. Love this one dearly.
