  Tender visceral gentle coarse all at the same time - and always yearning and so sweaty. Loses itself in the mess at points but you need the mess!

  So meandering and vacant for most of the runtime that it’s hard to be hit by the emotional climax, which feels like the only fully realised part of the movie - a wonderfully made emotional catharsis built on 80 minutes of suggesting at drama and turmoil which renders it totally hollow!

  I loved parts of the ending as isolated bits of filmmaking, I just wish I cared.

  I really feel like this is the best Barbie movie that could have been made and I’m happy it’s the one that was!

  Wasn’t always 100% feeling it but it hit a lot and I love that this basically confirms Greta Gerwig is an avid Sex Education fan (plus bus rodent).
