Other than our boy Robert the acting was absolutely awful. When someone described it as live action Futurama I really didn’t think it would hit the nail that hard on the head.

Watched it after it won. Shoving all the "character development" in the last few minutes of the film was uh, a choice I guess. Doesn't really say much and is incredibly overhyped but not a horrible watch at all. Igor is the only character I felt any positive emotions about at all. Mikey Madison was pretty great.

Alex Garland really likes his closeups of foliage at low aperture.

America in civil war as a backdrop to a great story about violence, desensitization, the disconnect of journalists to the world around them almost seems lazy in retrospect. Who needs a well built narrative around why the characters are in the situation they're in besides what amounts to a click-baity backdrop?

Do I think this movie would have made 100 million dollars had it been about a civil war…
