Dang!  I was looking forward to this!  Not for me. Well done in the usual ways, but this movie didn’t speak to me for the most part. Most reviews like this much more!
To put a finer point on it- the overall satire and comedy seemed somehow watered down and far too obvious simultaneously. I still can’t quite piece together how I felt this way, but the movie seemed content to idle with Mickey being mousy and fairly amusing to…

On my short list for a long time!  I think Stalker deserves the long list of accolades it has garnered and I am truly thankful to have finally watched it. Stalker, as evidenced by its release in 79’, is purely analog and scenes surrounded by decay and fauna are naturalistic and unassuming- except that the conditions in the Zone heighten their poetry further with an acute vibration. To further the analogy- Stalker seems as if it is plucked from single strings to let each note persist until it dies on its own. Fascinating to watch and equally provoking later. A huge meal to digest. 🍿.

Gotham explodes with villainous fury and rightfully becomes the urban decay that needs a Hero who can meet the shame, anarchy, and selfishness of its back…

Trying to keep my thoughts reasonable! lol. My heart wants to 5 Star this flick, but can I!?  I think Batman Returns beats the first installment but it’s kinda like shaking off some of the baggage and getting nice and loose- more comfortable in its own skin. The theatrics of Batman taste fantastic. A Burton take on DC- but it famously works and it does so in a formal way that implies only Batman rules this roost. No Superman, no…
