Nice reboot of Alien for the younger generation, well-made, fast-paced, lots of homages to the previous movies (Scott is listed as co-producer), ranging from technology, sound design to how single shots are set up. Being over 50, my first thought was "OMG..they're all so young". No character is over 25 and yet they can fly complicated spaceships asf. I almost sure it'll be  followed by more 'mid-quels'.

A suspenseful, psychedelic ride with two fantastic lead actresses. Gorgeous set design and color schemes, seamless mix of digital and practical effects. Oh.. and also the great Diana Rigg's last role. Full recommendation.

Let me add that I'm absolutely not cool with the amount of bile some other reviewers are spewing as a rule in their reviews. Using lots of expletives and insults is not film critique!

Although I grew up in the 1980s I somehow just now saw this in full length. It's not bad as far as low-budget rip-offs of Mad Max asf. go. The hero has lots of swagger (it's Tim Thomerson of "Trancers" fame!) the female lead gets equal screen time (rare back then, aside from obvious exceptions like Lt. Ripley or Sarah Connor) and the whole thing has a nice easy-going charme to it I feel is missing from many more recent films.

Price and Cushing in the same film sounds good, right? And what at first appears like a lampooning of Price's own career, deteriorates more & more and the ending makes no sense at all. Or can anyone explain how the dead Toombes can materialize through a film projector?
