  At first it’s a dull retread of the original movie with some new cosmetics. Even the order of the kills is the same; the last 20 minutes become another ripoff entirely, changing the twist that the original film did, but it was compelling enough to salvage the movie. Not bad for a Tubi original.

  Biting indictment on capitalism and the corporate age. Traditions and ritualistic to maximize profit; the narrative entirely without the mentality of individualism. Misunderstood in its initial release— a love letter to 50s sci-fi paranoia/ distrust. There’s something in the film that’s retro, that’s ancient. But yet its so topical. The corporate yes men, the mob mentality, the ritual sacrifice to drive agenda... to drive capital and carnivorous manifest destiny, it is around us every day. The veil has been lifting, ever-so-slowly...
