    What this gets as a period piece that no modern depiction of the 70s can, is just how FILTHY and gritty a city felt. “LIVED IN” as a descriptor of set design exists because it’s such an accurate portrayal of human touch and evidence and refuse in spaces and scenes.     Hot, devastated and nerdy Theo James
    Pale, unhinged and still hot Theo James
    Fun kills!
    Acceptance of death via dancing when you can and a great shot in the third act that frames Theo James in such starkly Old Hollywood styled lighting that you can’t help but appreciate Osgood’s eye.
    Great planting and payoff in both the horror and comedy, Perkins doesn’t treat that haha-horror relationship with cheapness nor contrivance (though I love the two Rube Goldberg machine moments) but understands that it’s all in the timing
