  Don’t sleep on 80 romance movies, especially when it stars Patrick Dempsey. It’s the classic tale of a kid who’s seen as a loser in high school gets a shot with the most popular girl in school, all it takes is a little bribing. Such a sweet and predictable movie with an iconic ending (Easy A referenced it when noting memorable rom coms)

  This isn’t the first movie that comes to mind when you think romance. But at it’s core there’s the romance between Tom Cruise and Rene Zellwegger. This earned multiple Oscars and I’ve seen it over 100 times (there’s a reason this poster used to sit above my bed in high school). It’s such a solid movie, with so much heart, with a quotable climax. I mean dozens of notable quotes came from this movie (i.e: show me the money!). And it’s such a beautiful sunlit tone to escape to. It’s comfort watching.

  One of my favorite movies. It’s existential at its core, but the romantic connection is beautiful, especially paired with this incredible score & cinematography. There’s something about the tone of this movie that makes me want to watch it again and again. And maybe because it confronts death thus confronts life, is why I like it so much.
