  Overheard as I’m leaving the theatre, “Well it was masterpiece in that regard.” Response, “Was it though?”

  What makes something good? What does society need? Clearly Coppola thinks the world needs Adam Driver, who is a stand in for himself. The philosopher, creator and holder of all the good ideas. A great man.

  He’s a thinker alright and like all smart men in modern times, he’s spent a lot time thinking about Rome. It draws from the past to give our future. I hope the future includes more directors spending a fortune to put their psychedelic fantasies on screen. Whatever it was, I enjoyed it.

  Second best movie where Jude Law’s identity is taken. Like most things in life could have used more Jazz. 

  The swimming also made me recall the Study Middle Schooler who had resigned himself to finishing behind all the South Side long distance runners because he would always lose. Ethan Hawke is an inspiration with his terrible genetics
