I like to think the liposuction scene is when he really became Donald Trump. But IMO this was more Wikipedia article than character study, especially after Cohn takes a backseat. Also they forgot about his evil henchman best friend Epstein.
I know the 80s was all about bad taste but they didn’t have to put that ugly filter through the whole section of the movie 🤢 everything else looked great though.
Extremely standard, non-offensive, preachy (literally) mystery thriller. It’s a true story, and they did it very respectfully and to the liking of the real people, which always makes movies more boring. By itself, It’s far from a bad watch, though. Pacing drags, but now and then there are legitimately good, intense sequences, montages, cinematography, etc. There’s worse ways to spend an afternoon, I guess.
