The Protagonists 1999
This could have worked really well as a short film, the first 30-40 minutes had me quite intrigued. Learning this movie is about a real life crime made it feel too real to create these (projected) fantasies about (real) people that appear later into the movie. I did enjoy the deranged-ness of it all as I was provoked in an embarrassing way. enjoying watching this film and enjoying making it kind of makes it what it was trying to comment on in a way, doesn’t it? I find that quite interesting. “Who really are the protagonists?” Is a question I had fun picking at.
