Nonlinear narratives aren’t always my favourite and for the first half of this film, I found it to be quite muddled. However, the last half hit me hard. Saoirse gave quite the performance and I was swiftly drawn into her haunted past and immense family trauma. The cinematography was lovely as well as the connection to nature, the past, history repeating itself, the importance of self-love and lastly extinction — it was all beautifully woven together in the end.
