  not to be annoying on main but this just screamed otherness theory, the fact that boys state got to exist entirely as its own story but girls state was unable to be told without constant parallels was the epitome of “man is defined as a human being and woman as a female”, the man needle drop did instantly make me cry tho so what do i know
