It doesn’t 100% work, mostly because of the clash in different tones. The Mark Ruffalo character is probably too on the nose for its own good.
But Robert Pattinson is excellent and the movie is a lot of fun. I don’t really know what it’s trying to say but that didn’t affect my enjoyment
This absolutely floored me. I did not expect to love this film, which is why it took me so long to see it. But after its big night at the Oscars, I figured it was time to go to the theater and check it out. I had no idea I was going to see my favorite movie of the year.
Mikey Madison is amazing, so deserving of all her awards. I fell in love with her character so many times…
The rainiest and dreariest movie ever made. And the one scene where it’s not raining has maybe the darkest plot twist of all time.
Seeing this on the big screen was incredible. It’s a masterpiece in every sense of the word. Freeman, Pitt, Spacey and Paltrow are all A++ in this.
“Ernest Hemingway once wrote ‘The world is a fine place and worth fighting for.’ I agree with the second part.” is one of my favorite closing lines to any movie ever.
Got to see this in the movie theater for the first time. Such a great experience on the big screen. A truly perfect movie that is still mesmerizing 85!!! years later
