I had good time with this one. While occasionally small parts drag a bit, it's packed with so much excellent stuff that I was thoroughly entertained. I love a story about the power and importance of friendship, and Causeway does so in an unsentimental but deeply empathetic way. A quiet, low energy movie that still packs in some funny lines and funnier reactions in between its exploration of trauma, loss, and the challange of connection. Extremely strong performances with an understated script that slowly and carefully gives you exactly as much as you need to understand the characters.
