Very fun to watch. Couldn’t help but feel the musical numbers left little space for character development for some of my fav supporting roles, which made their iconic jokes fall flat if you hadn’t seen the original. Overall, I enjoyed the modern spin on it and found myself laughing the whole way through.

They Cloned Tyrone 2023
I knew I’d love this movie based on the concept alone. But with a stacked cast, excellent cinematography, and plot twists that further expand on the themes that caught my initial interest I walked out with my expectations exceeded. It’s funny the entire way through while balancing fairly heavy topics /conspiracies that have plagued the black community longer than I’ve been on this Earth. You’d think that after this and Undercover Brother I’d stay away from fried chicken! (I’m not)

Anatomy of a Fall 2023
This movie was very well executed. The way it was shot, using very extreme close ups and change of POV, made you feel just as uncomfortable as if you were the person experiencing it. The way in which information was revealed had you just as conflicted on the mother’s innocence as her son was down to the very end. It did drag a bit toward the end and could have been shortened but honestly it added to the uncertainty so I understand the choice. Felt like a film I would study in film school.
