Came for Cate Blanchett but stayed for Judi Dench. Two of the greatest actresses of our time playing off each other.
This is a film about loneliness, obsession, and betrayal and Judi Dench is captivating. Care Blanchett is fantastic as well, I just feel like this film could’ve explored her characters history so that way we understand the choices she’s making, maybe it’s in the dialogue somewhere but I think this film could’ve added some depth if they explored Cate’s inner turmoil. Still a great watch though.
