  A mother-son villain team... that askew framing of Cary Grant in the Miami bedroom ... Ingrid's absolutely wacky hair & those POV shots of the Nazis kissing her hand... so many glamourous concepts.

  A cat-and-mouse thriller played with top intelligence & (unless I missed it???)... not a gun in sight.

  There’s this one killer “joke” at the beginning of the movie (a joke that isn’t really meant to be that funny, but nails how celebrities perform ‘live interview,’ “New Yorker festival” humor)… I won’t spoil it, but it involves a Hebrew word and a US political figure … It’s a small thing, just one well-observed moment among many in Tár - but it was the moment I knew this movie was for me.
