The Brutalist 2024
the opening acts of this movie burns into my memory. The World building, character setup, all so well done. The intermission at our theatre went 30 minutes (I think it’s only supposed to be 15 minutes) so it did start to feel long. The story ended rather abruptly as well. Overall though, a pleasure to see in 70MM.

Had a lot of fun watching this movie. Going in, I saw some mixed reviews. Some of the things I really liked about this movie are:
- It’s funny, a lot of self deprecating humor
- it has charm, moments of kindness and sweetness in contrast to aspects of humanity that are ridiculous and sort of evil
- the political/religious cult and buy in to a ridiculous leader felt very relevant to todays world events.- it’s bold, the movie…
