  One of the most beautiful movies of 2016 is also one of the saddest of the year. Despite the dark tone of the film there actually is a lot of warmth and heart to Manchester By the Sea. Yes, it’s a sad movie, but I don’t think it’s as depressing as others have claimed. Manchester By the Sea an important film about loss and how sometimes we don’t get over certain things, ever.

  Silence 2016

  Martin Scorsese has finally released his passion project and it is breath-taking. Scorsese brings up some deep and fascinating questions in this film. Silence is one of the most provocative and beautiful films of the year. It will leave you thinking, is my faith or beliefs strong enough to face this? What would I do if I was in that situation? Would I “trample?”
