The Substance 2024
i thought the movie was over and started thinking about what i was going to say about my thoughts on it and then there was a secret bonus act of full insanity and now i know even less about what i think. a cautionary tale about what we do to women in entertainment and also about taking medication as instructed ! so many times people were bleeding to varying degrees over that white carpet and somehow there were never stains, honestly the most unrealistic part about The Experience. really liked it and really will never ever watch it again i think.

another year another bawl my eyes out several times throughout this film! every time i relate to different segments a little differently, and also stand firmer in my interpretation of frederick or whatever tf his name is as a fake insertion at the publisher’s insistence rather than part of jo’s real life. “i figured you’d love me jo!” Hey! im crying. “I hate that love is all people say a woman is fit for I hate it—but I’m so lonely”…
