The 400 Blows 1959
Brilliant film - very raw and honest. There's no romanticising childhood, it just shows it how it is. Antoine Doinel isn’t a 'bad' kid - he’s just a kid, constantly misunderstood by the adults around him (reminds me of a young Deano) and doing his best in a world that keeps pushing him down. The cinematography felt so natural and yeah the performances from the boys were fantastic.
