this is the kind of film that makes you feel like you are missing something in the first hour but in the end hits you real hard. i can't stop thinking of my own experience with my dad and all the things that we've been through, that i've witnessed and felt, that could and shouldn't have happened. watching it is like having a therapy session and you just can't stop crying

I loved this film's soundtrack long before watching it, heard some good things about it and thought it would be some cute, funny high school romance story that is very cliche but still good. Decided to finally watch it and the whole time it was just too dumb. I would understand and maybe like it if this was made in the 2000s, but 2015?? With all that said, I somehow still managed to cry like a baby at the end (under the influence of edibles, and I had wanted to cry the whole day due to stress). Idk I was quite disappointed ngl

This movie takes us through centuries of Russian history with an ambitous 96-minute-uncut one take. It's weird, like being in a VR world where you are someone but also no one. It's beautiful and aching, like a dream, like a piece of art. I just can't feel it. Probably because nothing actually happens, which makes it kinda boring at times and hard to focus.
