rule #1 of spelunking: don't go spelunking.
i spent a lot of my summer, particularly during my surgery recovery, watching every video I could find on spelunking and cave diving incidents. the plot of this movie wasn't particularly interesting -- i feel that there are more realistic ways to depict spelunking that are scarier than cave monsters. the emotional and physiological stress that comes with spelunking is much more fear inducing.

it's been a while since a movie made me cry like this one has.
this movie reminded me to have hope in love again. humans are such beautiful, complex creatures. it's hard to have a brain that doesn't allow you truly want to live for years and years on end. it's hard to be running out of treatment options. but, i have people in my live that i love so dearly. and on days i don't want to do it for myself, i remind myself to do it for them.
