Over the top, gratuitous 70’s cinema with a ton of talent packed into a 2 hour run time. While the movie is inspired by a real school teacher murder, I’m still not sure if this was a women’s lib movie of the era or a gritty cautionary tale (maybe both). Diane Keaton has made a career of trying outside of the box roles and honestly, this movie doesn’t work for her at all. However, Richard Gere shines as the machismo…

I’ll give em credit for making such a stupid premise into a pretty entertaining horror comedy. The whole cast is hilarious however, Will Poulter is the standout. This movie will flop hard and be forgotten in 6 months…and that’s kind of a shame.

This movie was absolutely torn to shreds by critics but the fact that Melanie Lynskey is adorable in anything she does + Simon Helberg wrote/directed and was able to get Alfred Molina and Ebon Moss-Bachrach for this speaks volumes.

People often say that South Park has dropped off and it hasn’t. These made for tv specials are all fine but SP works better as a 22 min show.
