  Perfect birthday present was watching this film, on my birthday, in theaters.
  Style AND substance. All over the place and wild, but that's what makes it so wonderful. I understand the hate, but i think it depends on the person to appreciate such intense artistry. A definite joy for the realm of cinema.

  Insanely incredible, beyond realistic, and so so beautiful. A Brighter Summer Day is one of the most real, emotional, and beautiful films I have ever seen. The characters have so much depth and realness to them to the point where you immensely feel for them at parts. It may have been nearly four hours long but it was probably the most engaging film I've ever seen, it just sucks you in.
