Eerie to see how all of this is still relevant today, the similar racist talking points, fear mongering, dehumanization, anything to justify continued oppression. God, many of us were so naïve for thinking that we were past all of this in the 2000s…
But I couldn’t take the film seriously anymore when smooth playa gene (rip) left that cop spinning in that barbershop chair lmao.
And the 80s soundtrack really doesn’t work, or i just have a bias against 80s…

The further it went on, the less sense it made, and yet it still managed to be predictable with lazy twists and turns. The allegories can’t make up for the poor plot and world building.
BUT gotta love jordan peele’s sense of horror comedy, his films almost feel like some sort of soft spiritual reboot of the Scary Movie franchise.
