  Self-indulgent and saccharine, moody and maudlin and mundane. And poignant despite that, never fear. Excellent performances all around (a mustachioed Billy Crudup should come with a warning), and slivers of those quiet, life-altering moments that make everything worth it. Womanhood is heaven and hell; motherhood dials it up.

  Almost unwatchably insipid and predictable! Still, Roberts and Clooney display undeniable chemistry (being included on People’s 50 Most Beautiful list in the year 2000 will really bond a couple), and I would follow Kaitlyn Dever to the ends of the earth. Or at least to Queensland, Australia.
