I’ve smoked with guys that are exactly like Spicoli. Hell I tried to embody his energy a few summers when I was in high school. Perks of good surf and good weed in San Diego.

By far the best MI film in the entire series. No continuous over the top action but enough to keep you engaged. Cruise at his charming best without it seeming like it’s forced. Love the beginning sequence to death and sets the tone beautifully for the rest of the movie. And how can I not mention the Langley hack, I mean that has to be one of the coolest scenes in action movie history. This is the standard for spy movies and I will happily die on that hill.
There’s a specific subset of 2000s comedy movies that I grew up with and am just really nostalgic for. Beerfest, Super Troopers, the Harold and Kumar saga, Talladega Nights etc. And while some have better writing, comedy, script, and dialogue, than the others, I can’t hate any of them. Yes obviously it’s dated comedy but these movies just capture dumb guy humor so well and I never won’t have a good time watching them. None of these are winning academy awards but that’s not why I watch them. It’s pure entertainment value for people with this specific sense of humor.
