Being a fan of Simon Stålenhag I was particularly excited when this was announced, however the first trailer soon adjusted my expectations for this movie. Amazon's version of Tales From The Loop got the Stålenhag tone just right - melancholic and understated giving a big emotional punch. The Last Showgirl 2024
Genuinely great performances but too flimsy a plot to stick with you long. Plays a little like a watered down version of 'The Wrestler' - where the stakes are so low that you just don't really care by the end. It's a shame because Pammy does a bloody great job.
