  The Silent Twins 2022

  I was bothered by the lack of depth in a story that is so complex and, at times, sensitive. The film chooses not to offer many explanations, and while real life doesn’t always provide clear answers either, here the lack of depth makes it seem like the twins were less than they truly were. What could have been an intense and multifaceted narrative gets lost in superficiality. Did they deliver aesthetics? Yes. But that’s all.

  This movie is a great example about how abusive parents can change a person. Unfortunally, she had a lot of violence and abuse in her childhood, what made her believe that was a normal thing. 
  ''He was really sweet in the
   beginning... But then he started hitting me a few months in. Then he’d say it’d never happen again. But I figured… My mom hits me. She loves me. And I tought that was my fault, thats just what i knew.
  
  Its a funny movie about a very sad story.

  Is it a perfect movie? No, it has its flaws, but even with those flaws, I was attentive and had a satisfying experience. I really like the idea of subverting genres and characters, so observing the slasher's point of view during their crucial moments or just walking through nature instead of watching the unbearable teenagers really pleased me. The homage to 80s movie serial killers was clear, and it was like seeing a reversal of the Jason character. The nature…
