  Telling my kids this is the da Vinci code. Love some Ralph. And intrigue with ancient spooky sky daddy rituals. 

  I was unsure about the final reveal at first but I think I love it now and almost makes me want to do a rewatch.

  Third watch + reading the book is the charm for fully comprehending the plot and various machinations of this story, but quite possibly one of my favorite movies? Can’t get enough of the Villeneuve spectacle combined with the lore and melodrama of Herbert. Lost a half star for a handful of clunky moments.

  IMAX is really the only way to go for this one

  Went to this fully expecting I would “get” the Wicked thing (aka people’s mega excitement about it and deep connection to the story) after seeing it, and I’m sorry to report I did not. It was a good movie, fun, well-executed, highly enjoyable and thrilling. Visuals were engrossing and impressive. CE and AG were both great in their roles and performances. But, I didn’t feel particularly moved by the story or connected to the characters. It was just so goofy!…
