  I mean… The Count of Monte Cristo is just such a good story. Everything about this felt classic and epic in the exact way you would want an adaptation of this book to feel. All the updates were really smart imo and the runtime felt fast and engaging, despite it being three hours long.

  certainly 2-3 subplots too many but some really funny bits in there. I need a “macaroons are not a sin!” shirt. all in all — truly bizarro stuff, a silly, goofy time, great work everyone

  Liked this but did not love it! And I wanted to love it! If only to spite Vivek

  I was not really emotionally invested or surprised, but I was definitely entertained! The tennis matches and the score over them were the most exciting parts for me. Weiiiiirdddd but interesting camera angles, may have puked if I'd seen this in IMAX.

  Also, minor gripe but there are some very random brand placements in this. Like, I know tennis/sports are generally full of brand deals, but was that full-on Dunkin Donuts ad really necessary?
