Still shook.
Many winks to tons of sci-fi and horror movies, sprinkled with some humour and greatly shot.
Props to the FX team!

Like a sort of anthology movie like VHS or the sort but in a TV set. It's like a better produced Goosebumps episode.
This film was spot on. It describes in simple images what is difficult to describe about beginnings and endings. Ego clouds our vision in life and focusing too much on our own issues, some of them (probably most) self-inflicted, make our lives miserable. Best to kiss and keep it simple, enjoy the time you have and wish that you can telepathically communicate with others when you are gone (while giddily floating under a bedsheet of course). I won't wonder about the existence of a creator deity, but I certainly will continue to wonder about cinema after watching this.
"Malignant" is indeed a big budget movie that will entertain if not taken too seriously. The generous kill count (30+ victims for sure) gives plenty of room for vicious slasher-like savagery that will leave people either looking away or wanting more red goo in their lives. Aside for the film evidently taking ideas from other films and books in the genre, I feel the story stands well for itself and enjoys some originality. However, would I re-watch it? Not really, but it's an ok addition to the horror genre.
