    Although I wasn't able to connect to "Spencer" as much as in comparison to its spiritual predecessor "Jackie", I was intruiged to see what Pablo Larraín has to offer in the final part of his unofficial trilogy of suffering women.
    And again, Larraín showed his ability to produce great looking shoots, drenched in pittoresque locations with characters in faboulous costumes and accompanied by heavy classical music (this time opera).

    Felt a bit dissapointed about the fact that we never get an explanation what this Civil War is really about.

    Then again, this is exactly on purpose: the particular conflict is not important, but the disintegration of societal norms and democratic structures and the importance of journalism.
    A interesting road movie with some truly shocking moments (I look at you Jesse Plemons), but in the end I was left yearning for more depth and discussion about the topics depicted.
