Tetsuo: The Iron Man 1989
it's a dance: the unrelenting music/sound mixing, the sheer physicality of choreography over dialogue... it's so dense with mesmerizing symbolism you feel you can almost touch its depth -- just for it to remind you it's also just a very, very, very funny movie. metal fetishist runs headfirst into a big chunk of metal and it goes *BONK* in the most cartoonish way. loved this from my first watch years ago but like wow. how beautiful is the grotesquerie of bodies
