i love how the everpresent stress of oppression amongst the lower class was convayed throughout the movie, hand in hand with the hatred that breeds against their oppressors. the main characters exessively use and flaunt their free will because the world doesn't recognise their humanity, almost like they're crying out to be noticed. what keeps each of them from falling apart is eachother. the balancing act between taking risks in order to fight for change and staying safe is such an effective focus for the story. this movie makes my soul dance like fire.
