  Supremely good for Gross Body Things and even leads up to a Brian Yunza esque ending. Found it kind of lacking in the commentary and satire side of things but for pure spectacle it's a blast. Biggest issue is that if you're movie is called The Substance you're gotta have more goop or slime

  this is the best adaptation of an anime because it understands that when my emo doomer twink friend in middle school said "I wish I had a death note" that this entire film is exactly what he imagined
