Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror 2023
This might have been Doug Jones’ community service for the month. To be fair, there is a local theatre quality to this that is fun, and I enjoyed the attempt at Shakespeare that Fisher took — some more polish and this could have shone in iambic pentameter and true soliloquies. Also, Sarah Carter was quite striking as Ellen, and really played into the black and white photography well. Unfortunately the sum is not greater than the parts here and I’ll stick to Murnau.

I love this team of creators and really love the work they do as a unit for independent horror, but they desperately need someone to be an editor and carve off a good 30-40 minutes from their movies. Between this and Terrifier 2, it seems to be a style choice to pad the runtimes.
